Horsefly Spillway Project Breaking Ground for Phase 1

Today the Municipal District of Taber (MDT) and members of the Southern Regional Stormwater Drainage Committee (SRSDC), in conjunction with the Government of Alberta, and the Government of Canada, took another important step forward for flood mitigation in southern Alberta by breaking ground on the Phase 1 expansion of the Horsefly Regional Emergency Spillway project. MD of Taber Declares Municipal Agricultural Disaster

Horsefly Emergency Spillway Project Funding Announcement

The Municipal District of Taber (MDT) received a much-welcomed announcement from the federal government. Today, the Honourable Catherine McKenna, Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, and Merrill Harris, Reeve of the MDOT announced $9.8 million in approved funding for Phases 2 and 3 of the Horsefly Regional Emergency Spillway Project.
