Recycling in the MD of Taber

Recycling services in the MD of Taber are changing as Alberta transitions to a new province-wide recycling system.

How you recycle depends on where you live.

Recycling in the Hamlet of Grassy Lake is transitioning to a new system.

  • Starting October 1, 2026, recycling collection will be managed by Circular Materials through curbside pickup using recycling carts. Residents will receive new carts in September. Please do not use carts until collection begins in October.
  • During the transition residents may continue using existing recycling trailer located along Highway 3 until October 1, 2026.
