  • Park office – 11:00 am to 8:00 pm – 7 days a week.
  • Campground gates open from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm.
  • The top gate of the park is open 24-7.

Camping Rates

  • Individual sites – $40 per night (all sites have been upgraded to 30 amp power).

Group-Use Rates

Group-Use Area rentals include use of camp kitchen, firewood and plugins. Group-Use "A" and "B" also include pit toilets and potable water.

  • Group-Use Areas “A” and “B” – $100 daytime rental only. Available Sunday – Thursday. Use promo code “evening” when booking. Check-in time at 2:00 pm. Check-out time at 10:00 pm the same day.

How to book using promo code.
  1. Search for the evening that you would like to book (available Sunday through Wednesday only). To process the booking, you must choose the following day as the checkout. For example, if you chose the evening of Sunday, September 12th, you must choose Monday, September 13th as the check-out date.
    1. Choose either Group use A or B for your booking and select Add to Cart. If no Group Use sites are found in the search, this indicates that they are not available for booking that evening.
    2. Click on the Review Cart button, followed by the Proceed to Checkout button.
    3. Fill in all of the required Guest information. Please indicate that this booking is for a Sunday evening only in the Special Needs or Requests box. Then click Continue to Payment Amount.
    4. Click the Enter a promo code button. In the box that opens, enter EVENING. The discount will automatically apply to the order total.
    5. Click the Continue to Payment Method button and enter your credit card information. Click Place Order to complete the booking.
  • Group-Use Areas “A” and “B” – $160 for overnight rental.

    Check-in time at 2:00 pm. Check-out time at 11:00 am the following day.

    • Group Use "C" – $40 per day from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

AMPHITHEATRE BOOKING GUIDELINES



The Taber Municipal Park Amphitheatre is part of Group-Use Area C.

Groups less than 25 people:

  • Group-Use Area "C" is used for hosting smaller events with the amphitheatre. Booking includes a small camp kitchen, picnic tables and several electrical plugs around the amphitheatre.
  • Parking is limited, so visitors must park in the Day-Use parking lot and walk to the event. The nearest washroom facilities are located east in the Day-Use Area. (No lighting or sound equipment is provided with the rental.)
  • Community groups hosting events are responsible for their own security (1 security person per 25 participants) and clean up after the event. Failure to do so will result in extra charges billed at $100.00/hour for park contractors to clean the area.
  • The MD will provide safety vests to event volunteers, and barricades if asked for in advance. Extra garbage receptacles are also available if needed.
  • All park bylaws remain in effect.

Groups more than 25 people:

  • To accommodate an event larger than 25 people, both Group-Use "C" (theater) and Group-Use "B" must be booked together.
  • Reserving Group-Use "C" includes the amphitheatre area as described above. (No lighting or sound equipment is provided with the rental.)
  • Reserving Group-Use "B" includes the grassed area, a larger parking lot closer to the amphitheatre, closer washroom facilities, and a larger camp kitchen with extra electrical plugs.
  • Community groups hosting events are responsible for their own security (1 security person per 25 participants) and clean up after the event. Failure to do so will result in extra charges billed at $100.00/hour for park contractors to clean the area.
  • Community Groups are responsible for purchasing their own insurance coverage.
  • The MD will provide safety vests to event volunteers, and barricades if asked for in advance. Extra garbage receptacles are also available if needed.
  • All park bylaws remain in effect in Group-Use Areas.


TERMS OF SERVICE



Municipal District of Taber – Parks and Recreation Areas

This bylaw shall apply to the Parks and Recreation areas within the Municipal District of Taber subject to any exceptions provided in any statute of the Province of Alberta or any agreement entered into by the Municipal District of Taber affecting the MD of Taber Parks and Recreation Areas.

Camping

  • 4 Campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis for single-night usage. The remaining campsites are by reservation only.
  • Approved camping accommodation units include:
    •  Tents, trailers, tent trailers, motorhomes, fifth wheels with a truck, vans, truck campers, and registered motor vehicles including a truck or car used by a person as shelter equipment while camping.
  • Campground checkout time is 12:00 Noon. Check-in time is 2:00 pm.
  • 20 km/h is the maximum speed limit within the park.
  • Camping is restricted to those areas designated for overnight camping and the group-use areas and is subject to the applicable fees.
  • ONLY registered campers are allowed in the shower houses.

Permitted On A Campsite

  • Maximum eight (8) persons per individual campsite, unless they are all members of a single-family unit.
  • Two (2) family units of NOT MORE than eight (8) people may occupy an individual campsite.
  • Two (2) vehicles are allowed per site. Do not park on grass areas.
  • Visitors to the campsite MUST use the parking lot by the day-use area.
  • Alcohol is permitted in designated areas only such as designated campsites and group-use areas upon rental.   

Not Permitted

  • Do not litter – please use the receptacles provided to dispose of any refuse.
  • Do not deface or destroy any property or vegetation that the MD of Taber has erected or caused to be erected.
  • Do not park on grass areas – please stay off grass with trailers and motor vehicles. Only tents are allowed on grass areas.
  • ATV use is not permitted. All motor vehicles must remain on designated roadways, except for those required by Municipal employees to carry out their duties in the Parks and Recreation Areas.
  • No fireworks or explosives of any type – do not discharge paintball guns except in an area designated for this purpose.
  • No soliciting – unless prior written approval has been obtained from the MD of Taber.
  • No pig roasts are allowed in the park.

Be a Good Neighbour

  • Quiet hours are 11:00 pm to 7:00 am.
  • All visitors must leave before 11:00 pm.
  • Avoid excessive noises that would disrupt people sleeping so that everyone can enjoy the peace and tranquillity of our park.
  • Parents must accompany any children away from the campsite during this time.
  • Generator hours are from 9:00 – 11:00 am and 6:00 – 8:00 pm.

Group-Use

Day-Use

  • Available for public use from 7:00 am until 11:00 pm only.
  • No alcoholic beverages are allowed in the day-use area.

Fires

  • Fires shall NEVER be left unattended.
  • Fires must be confined to fireplaces or appliances provided or in any portable appliance, and then only at designated locations.
  • Fires must be COMPLETELY OUT and cool when leaving, and can only be fueled with seasoned wood, charcoal, coal, natural gas or propane.
  • Fire ban notices may be issued due to dry weather conditions.

Pets

  • Dogs and cats are welcome but must be on a leash at all times.
  • Please pick up after your pets.
No person shall interfere with the right of others to the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of the Municipal Parks or Recreation Areas through nuisance activities as defined in the Bylaw – any individual determined a "Nuisance" through drunkenness, use of obscene, offensive or insulting language, fighting or disorderly conduct, disruptive partying, excessively loud music, voice or something or someone being disruptively noisy, may be asked to leave.

A person who enters the Municipal Parks and Recreation Areas shall comply with any lawful orders and instructions made or issued by a Police Officer, Bylaw Enforcement Officer, a Municipal District of Taber employee and Municipal Park employees.

Any person who refuses to leave the Municipal Parks and Recreation Areas after having been asked to do so by a Bylaw Enforcement Officer, an RCMP Officer, or a Municipal Park Employee or its agents, may be issued a Violation Ticket and if they remain, may be removed from the Municipal Parks and Recreation Areas.

Where a Bylaw Enforcement Officer has reasonable grounds to believe that a provision of this Bylaw has been contravened, that Bylaw Enforcement Officer is authorized and empowered to issue a Violation Ticket to any person the Bylaw Enforcement Officer has reasonable grounds to believe is responsible for the contravention.

A Violation Ticket shall be served upon any such Person personally or by leaving it with a person who has the appearance of being at least eighteen (18) years of age.

A Violation Ticket shall state the name of the person; the date of issuance; a description of the offence, the section number of the Bylaw, and the date on which the offence occurred; the appropriate penalty for the offence as specified in Schedule "A" of this Bylaw; that the penalty shall be paid within thirty (30) days of the issuance of the Violation Ticket; and any other information as may be required by the Municipal Administrator. 

NOTE: The employees, servants, and agents of the Municipal District of Taber, while acting in the course of their employment or duty, are exempt from the provisions of this Bylaw.


CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY



The Taber Municipal Park & Campground does not give credit or refunds due to the discomforts of nature. The fun continues rain or shine!

  • Any cancellations received more than 24 hours before the scheduled arrival will be subject to a $20 cancellation fee, the remainder of the reservation will be refunded to the credit card on file.
  • Any cancellations received within 24 hours of the scheduled arrival will result in full payment of 1 day, and the remainder of the reservation will be refunded to the credit card on file. 
  • Any early departures will result in full payment of 1 day beyond the day of departure, and the remainder of the reservation will be refunded to the credit card on file.
  • Any no shows will still be responsible for the full amount of their reservation.
  • Cancellations will only be accepted over the phone.
