Todays fire rating is Advisory
Current Fire Rating:Advisory
The Municipal District of Taber received some much-needed moisture, yet a high risk of moderate fire danger still exists.
As a result, a Fire Advisoryis now in effect until further notice.
Under a Fire Advisory, open fires are allowed, but residents are reminded to be extra vigilant and cautious while using their fire pits, burn barrels, conducting farm operations, and conducting any open burning.
We encourage residents to please refrain from non-essential burning until conditions improve.
Existing fire permits remain valid. New fire permits will continue to be issued.
Anything larger than a burning barrel (45-gallons) will need a fire permit.
